During the January 23, 2023 regular Community Redevelopment Agency meeting, the Board voted unanimously to increase the Fix-it-Up grant award amount from $20,000 to $50,000. This is a major increase from 2013, when the grant award was increased from $7,000 to $20,000. Inclusive of the grant award increase, the Community Redevelopment Agency also voted regarding the policy that would govern the lien stipulations connected to the grant award.
The grant modifications are effective immediately and applications are being accepted. Qualified applicants will receive their award based on the date that the application is received and approved. Preference will be given to applicants with homes that are contributing structures on the national register of historic places. Grant funds can be used to complete an array of health and safety repair at owner occupied homes. To apply, please call the St. Johns Housing Partnership at 904.824.0902.
