[ARCHIVED] Did you know? The City has 3 CRAs!

NewsFlash-Do I Live In a CRA (4)

What is a CRA?

Community Redevelopment Area (CRA), under Florida Law (Chapter 163, Part III), is defined as an area that local governments are able to identify and designate as Community Redevelopment Area when certain conditions exist. CRAs are funded by any future increases in property values which are then set aside to support specific economic development projects within that area.

The City of St. Augustine has designated three (3) areas as CRAs;

  • Historic Area Community Redevelopment Area (HACRA) established in 2000
  • Lincolnville Community Redevelopment Area (LCRA) established  in 2013
  • West City Community Redevelopment Area (WCCRA) newly established in 2024

It is important to know if you are living in a designated CRA. Find out by clicking on the "Clickable Map Tool" link below and entering your address into the search bar. To find out more about the specific CRA you live in, click this link: https://www.citystaugcra.com/157/Areas
